If you’re one of the many considering buying the new Samsung Galaxy S7 in 2016 and actually think the decision will be easy, then you’ve got another thing coming. Sammy is looking to go all-in with the upcoming S7 launch as consistent rumors there will be four variants launched worldwide. Rumors on the Galaxy S7, Galaxy S7 Edge, Galaxy S7 Active, and Galaxy S7 Edge Plus will give you more decisions than you may have thought.
The standard S7 and S7 Edge will be the first two models launched with early release date rumors suggesting they may be available to the pubic earlier than expected. With a new production methodology in place, new leaks suggest an early Q1 2016 release date worldwide.
The Samsung Galaxy S7 Active is once again expected to become an AT&T exclusive, and unfortunately, will not be available worldwide. The rugged Active series has become very popular due to extremely high durability and waterproof features. The same is expected in the S7 Active, but is likely to feature a fingerprint scanner as well.
The Samsung Galaxy Edge S7 Plus is rumored to be featured worldwide during Q3 of 2016, and is likely to share many similarities with the S7 Edge. Sporting a larger 5.6” screen along with a fingerprint scanner, and we’re hoping eye sensing technology will also be seen. Although, it’s highly unlikely we’ll see an eye scanner in any of the S7 models in 2017 with the most practical it’ll be seen in the 2017 launch of the Samsung’s Galaxy S8 instead.
We’ll keep you updated on the status of all Samsung Galaxy S7 smartphones including the standard S7, S7 Edge, S7 Active, and S7 Edge Plus which are all expected to give consumers exactly what they want.
