It sounds like Samsung will be releasing more than one version of the Galaxy S7 Edge, and if you’re looking for something unique as well as big, then you may want to wait a bit longer. It’s sounding like Sammy will be launching the S7 Edge along with the standard S7 model earlier in 2016, but new rumors suggest a new variant will be launched later in the summer.
The S Edge Plus model is slightly larger than the standard S Edge model, and will first debut launching after the S6 Edge this year. We’re already hearing rumors that Sammy has no intentions on doing away with the larger Edge model which includes the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Plus.
The Samsung Galaxy S8 Edge Plus release date rumors suggest it won’t debut until the summer of 2016 which will be months after the launch of the standard S7 Edge. It looks like the wait will be well worth it, especially if you’re looking for a Phablet styled smartphone with all the bells and whistles.
The standard S7 Edge and S7 Edge Plus will share similar specs and features including a fingerprint scanner, UHD screen resolution, Corning Gorilla Glass protection, and a Qualcomm 820 processor. While the specs and features for any of the S8 models have yet to be made official, so take the above like a grain of salt.
The Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Plus release date is also expected to launch alongside another Galaxy flagship. The Galaxy Note 6 is also expected to be revealed in the summer of 2016 which is rumored to be launched just before Apple’s newest iPhone, the iPhone 7.
