Memory has quietly become one of the deciding factors for us consumers when considering a new smartphone, and Samsung intends on providing plenty of options for both the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge. Despite the official word yet to come, we’ve uncovered plenty of information that suggests consumers will plenty of options for pictures, music, apps, and much more.
There will be a few different Samsung Galaxy S7 memory options that you will be able to purchase. The amount of memory you’ll be able to get for your smartphone will depend on how much you are willing to spend.
Memory Options for the Samsung Galaxy S7
There will be three different Samsung Galaxy S7 memory options and the base option will include 32GB of internal memory. If you are willing to spend extra you could potentially pick up a handset that has either 64GB of internal memory or 128GB of internal memory. The Galaxy S7 memory options will have a tiered pricing system that is likely to be very close to what we have listed below. Whilst the $100 increase for memory may not be 100% correct, it’s likely to be around this number.
- 32GB option: base price
- 64GB option: base price + $100
- 128GB option: base price + $100
Memory Options for the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge
Just like with the standard Samsung Galaxy S7 memory, the Galaxy S7 Edge will come in three different memory variants. The pricing structure will be similar to the one listed above, however the difference will be that each price will include the additional price of the Edge display.
If you are considering to get the Galaxy S7 Edge with 128GB of internal memory you could be looking at paying an extra $200 for the extra memory and then potentially an extra $100 for the Edge display. Either way, you’re looking at paying over $1,000 for some variants of the Galaxy S7.
Expandable Memory
A micro SD card could be more likely on the Galaxy S7 but it’s still not a definite feature. It’s possible – Samsung could fit it into the SIM tray like other manufacturers have but they may decide against this to encourage smartphone owners to spend more on the more expensive memory options.
