The Galaxy S Edge concept has evolved into being just as popular as the standard model, and the 2017 launch of the Samsung Galaxy S8 Edge is already drawing a lot of speculation. Sammy looks to be market the Edge variants in the right manner starting with the original Galaxy Note Edge variant seen late 2014. The upcoming model looks to be expanding on the very best aspects of the dual curved edges, while offering consumers something truly unique.
One of the latest rumors suggests the Samsung Galaxy S8 Edge release date will in-fact be mid-April 2016. Some are speculating Sammy will be looking to move up the launch to mid-to late March, and this is quite possible considering it should be revealed at the Mobile World Congress 2017 event held during the 1st week in March.
If Sammy is able to speed up the worldwide launch of both the S8 and S8 Edge, this will give them the competitive advantage with another flagship launch around the same time. The LG G6 is rumored to be launched during April, but rumors suggesting that LG is looking to move up the G6 release date to sometime in April.
With the industry itself already becoming quite competitive, both Samsung and LG have become direct competitors. The launch of both flagships in 2017 are expected to be huge to say the least with both expected to debut some new, and amazing features. We’re hearing about a true 4K display with a resolution of 4096 x 2160, 3D camera features, octa-core processors clocked at over 3GHz, and much more.
One of the biggest rumors for both flagships include eye sensing technology. It’s a likely possibility we’ll be seeing the Samsung Galaxy S8, S8 Edge, and G6 will all feature an eye scanner built in as their expected to slowly faze out fingerprint scanners. Eye scanners are said to be much more reliable, faster, and ultimately more secure.
