Samsung and LG will be launching two of their top flagships during the 1st ½ of 2016, and both will be racing to debut their newest smartphone first. Early rumors suggest the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 will be released just before the LG G5, but all three will sport an impressive lineup of specs and features.
We’re already hearing the official S7 Edge and Samsung Galaxy S7 launch announcement will come at the 2016 MWC Event in Barcelona. If so, it wouldn’t surprise us to see both S7 variants by the end of March to early April which is just ahead of the LG G5 release which is expected to be the middle of April.
Both Samsung and LG are looking to maintain their right at the top of the smartphone industry, and their newest flagships look to continue what the Galaxy S6, S6 Edge, and LG G4 created. The new smartphones are still selling strong as both the S8 and G5 have exceeded expectations of both analysts and consumer alike.
The Galaxy S6 Edge has more than exceeded expectations selling almost the same amount of handsets than the standard version in the early months. The unique Edge concept has taken off since the original debuted in the Galaxy Note Edge, and the Galaxy S7 Edge looks to be even more impressive. Sporting a slightly larger screen with a gorgeous Sapphire display that will once again bring out the very best in durability and clarity.
We’re already getting a lot of questions relating to both the upcoming S7 and S7 Edge, and although Sammy has yet to confirm things to come the many leaks suggest we’re all in for a real treat. Both the S7 and S8 Edge will improve upon the battery power, efficiency, camera specs, processing power, and much more. Expect to see a big push for mobile payment options as well as other facets such as Android Auto compatibility and other hardware such as the Gear VR headset.
We’ll continue to bring in all the latest info including rumors and confirmations on what looks to be a worldwide Galaxy S7 launch early Q3 of 2016.
