For those of you in the UK impatiently waiting for the launch of Samsung’s newest flagship lineups won’t have to wait as long as initially thought as the release date will be earlier than expected. It sounds like Samsung is trying something new in the production of all Galaxy S7 variants including the GS7, GS7 Edge, and GS7 Edge Plus which means those in the UK will be seeing months ahead of schedule.
Samsung has been pretty consistent with their release date cycles in the Galaxy S series, but it’s sounding like some changing in their production will launch the newest handsets as early as February of 2016. The new leaks out of Korea tells us to expect the S7 Edge and UK Samsung Galaxy S7 release date to be made official at the 2016 CES event in January.
This significantly changes what we’ve been hearing for months now as earlier release date rumors for the standard S7 and S7 Edge would launch early in the second quarter. For those waiting for the UK Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Plus release date will still have to wait a bit longer, but should be much earlier than September which was originally thought.
The GS7 Edge Plus is rumored to launch in the UK as early as April which would put it well ahead of the Apple’s launch of their upcoming flagship lineup including the iPhone 7 Plus. The 7 Plus will be the premium variant that’s expected to compete with the S7 Edge Plus and Samsung’s other Phablet, the Galaxy Note 6.
One of the newest rumors suggest Android 6.0 Marshmallow will come pre-installed which means no long wait for that OTA install. You can expect we’ll be looking for more info, and of course the official UK Samsung Galaxy S7 release announcement for all variants of the S7 as well as the price as soon as we get it.
