It’s all-but certain we’ll see three variants of the S8 in 2017 with the most expensive version being Galaxy S8 Edge Plus. The premium price tag will be one of the most expensive smartphones, and it’s certain to be Sammy’s highest Galaxy S yet. For consumers here in the US, the Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus price may be a small price to pay considering all that’s packed in.
The early rumors on the US Samsung Galaxy S8 Edge Plus price suggest we’re likely to see a launch price nearing $1000. This will be the first in the Galaxy S series where the launch price has been pretty consistent around $800 for the standard models. The premium Edge Plus debuted with the S6 Edge Plus, but was still comparable with other premium smartphones.
It’s believed we’ll see the launch price start out at $950 for a 32GB model and could go up from there topping the $1000 mark for 64GB model. Of course at this time this is mere speculation, but it’s pretty consistent considering the new specs and features we’re likely to see in the S8 Edge Plus.
Rumors on the specs include a 5.8” 4K display, 6GB RAM, new Exynos chipset, retina eye scanner, waterproof and shockproof sensors, 30MP rear camera, and a much larger battery. Some are likely to look the other way when seeing the Samsung Galaxy S8 Edge Plus price over $950, but others like myself are likely to believe it’s a bargain for something that’s expected to be absolutely amazing.
We’ll keep you updated on the latest rumors and confirmations on not just the US launch price of the GS8 Edge Plus, but all other markets as well. For now, it seems like we still have a while to wait as the latest info suggests a Galaxy S8 Edge Plus release date of September of 2017.
