Samsung Going Bigger with the 5.2″ 4K Galaxy S8 Screen

August 11, 2015 | Amit Arora

It’s seems the Galaxy S series will be getting a size enhancement as Samsung believes that sometimes, bigger is better. Rumors on the screen size for the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Edge will be slightly bigger than both the S6 and next year’s S7. The S6 features a 5.1” screen and rumors suggest the same size will be seen in the display for the upcoming Galaxy S7.

We’re holding out for the 2017 launch of the Galaxy S8 and S8 Edge as both are rumored to feature an amazing 5.2” 4K screen. Giving consumers exactly what they want include the first Samsung smartphone to feature 4K technology which will result in a resolution of 4096 x 2160. It’ll be like watching movies and videos from the comfort of your own home on a smartphone screen that will raise the bar.

There were some rumors suggesting the display of next year’s Galaxy S7 will feature a 4K screen, but we now believe this is far from the truth. A UHD screen is believed to be featured in both the S7 and S7 Edge that will be slightly less with a 3840 x 2160 ultra-high definition resolution. Other rumors on the 2016 launch of the S7 include a bendable, flexible display.

The Galaxy S8 screen will be further enhanced if the rumors on a 3D screen are seen, which will be the next best feature in mobile technology. 3D viewing will be seen with both video and camera features which will also allow users to capture 3D pictures as well as 3D videos. The latest rumors coming in also point to a foldable concept, although it seems like this will become a new smartphone series all-together.

We’ll have to wait a bit longer to get all the info including the confirmations on the Samsung Galaxy S8 screen, and we’ll continue to update you as soon as we get more.
