The debut of the Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge is a couple of days behind us, and carriers around the globe wasted no time at all announcing a release date and price. Consumers will be happy to know that Canadian cell carriers will be opening their doors for preorders starting today, and will feature the release starting March 11th.
The time to get in two of the hottest smartphones of 2016 and the two that truly stole the show at this year’s Mobile World Congress event in Barcelona. The debut of Samsung’s next generation Galaxy S smartphones including the S7 Edge proved to be a huge spectacle, and with very good reason.
All of the top carriers in Canada have already started taking preorders, and if you’re one of the many looking to get in early Samsung is giving you some freebies. For those who preorder either a Galaxy S7 or Galaxy S7 Edge before March 5th, they are throwing in a Gear VR along with $50 worth of free games.
Rogers, Bell, Videotron, Telus, SaskTel, MTS, Eastlink, Fido, Koodo, and Virgin Mobile are all currently taking preorders. One of the latest Canadian cell carriers, Wind Mobile has announced they will begin taking preorders for both the GS7 and GS7 Edge starting February 25th with shipments beginning on or around March 11th.
The price structure through most of the carriers are pretty consistent throughout Canada coming in at $899 for the Galaxy S7 and $999 for the full price of the S7 Edge. Contract pricing is also pretty consistent at $399 and $499 respectively with most also offering installment pricing which may be more manageable for most.
