So much is already being said on the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S7, and there have been plenty of details already provided. It sounds like the South Korean tech manufacturer is looking to introduce something we’ve yet to see from one of the all-time smartphone lines as the Galaxy S7 specs looks to be much improved over its predecessor.
We already know there will be at least two variants of the S7 including a 5.2” and much larger 5.8” model. We fully believe the Edge concept will return once again, and will be available as the Galaxy S7 Edge and Galaxy S7 Edge Plus. What we don’t’ know is if we’ll see the AT&T exclusive GS7 Active, although there has plenty of leaks to suggest we will.
We’re hearing the Samsung Galaxy S7 specs will include a true 4K display that will rival Sony’s Xperia Z5. 4K resolutions have been rumored to become the gold-standard of high-end smartphone displays and it’s looking like we’ll see it across all variants with the exception of the Galaxy S7 Active.
We should also see the S7, S7 Edge, and S7 Edge Plus to be outfitted with one of two processors being tested. Recent benchmark tests suggest Samsung is testing both the Qualcomm 820 SoC and Exynos 8890 chipset which are both expected to be featured and will be market specific. Codenamed Hero and Hero 2 have been spotted being ran through a series of tests as Project Lucky.
Aside from the processor, we’re also hearing the rear camera of the S7, S7 Edge, and S7 Edge Plus will boast a 21MP rear camera along with the ISOCELL sensor we seen in the S6. The ISOCELL sensor has had a profound effect on low-level lighting that helps create some of the best pictures captured on any smartphone.
We’ll continue to update you on the Samsung Galaxy S7 specs across all variants including the premium GS7 Edge Plus. For those looking to pick up a new GS7 handset at the time of launch, you’ll definitely want to considering preordering the new handset before it actually launches.
