Samsung Galaxy S8 Mini – Samsung Working on Smaller Phone

The latest rumors on Samsung Galaxy has given away to many speculations, rather than questioning whether or not there will be Galaxy S8 edge what we should be focusing on is whether there will be standard Samsung Galaxy S8. Ever since the unveiling of just one version of Note 7 with dual edge screens we have thought that this will be its plan for other flagship smartphones as well; A dual edge screen as a standard for its new models.

As per the reports from Korean Herald which says that Samsung has hinted at removing the standard flat screen version and replacing with edge model in its flagship smartphones. Now with this latest report on finalization, a new report says that corporation is also looking to sourcing 5.1 and 5.5 inches foldable dual edge screens in Galaxy S8.

The Korean media has reported earlier that Samsung is planning an enormous five flagship phones in 2017 including the much speculated foldable Galaxy X. This flagship group is more likely to include at least one Samsung Galaxy Note phone so it seems the other flagship ship smartphone will be Galaxy S8. So we might see the return of Galaxy S8 mini.

Now, following the Galaxy Note 7 launch recently. Samsung’s chief of mobile in South Korea, Dong-jin Koh, spoke to media reporters from the Korea Herald. And said that “Samsung has considered that it would make the edge display as the identity of its Galaxy S series smartphone lineup if the company can provide consumers distinguished user experience through software and other user-friendly functions.”

If this is being interpreted, in consumer view it’s a big hint that Galaxy S flagship will abandon flat display variant entirely and instead go ahead with curved Edge display boards for Samsung Galaxy S8 and onwards. There are currently two possible scenarios here either the new curved-screen display only policy, if true, and concrete will be taken into effect immediately, and this means by 2017 there can be only one Galaxy S8 and One Galaxy Note 8 launched.

Both of which will be curved displays and no flat displays in sight for flagship smartphones. These will not be for the current development most probably for generation after the Galaxy S8 which is too far now in development with the dual launch of both Edges Curved displays variants and flat screens variants.

Things are moving at a fast pace now so it ‘s hard to consider the possibilities of Samsung Galaxy S8 mini, probably it won’t come to fruition in the long term, by the time another generation is in the development Galaxy S flagships come around. For now, based on the reports there might variants in the flagship but to what extent Samsung is planning to deliver its consumers is unknown. We have to wait for few more months to get more reports on this topic.
