Samsung Galaxy S8 Camera Quality Rumors

What can we expect from the quality Samsung Galaxy S8 camera in 2017? Whilst Sammy may have a few things up their sleeves, we can get a basic understanding of the specs of the Galaxy S8 camera. The actual quality will be almost impossible to judge until we actually have our hands on a Galaxy S8.

Below we have listed some of the details we’re expecting to see from both the primary and seondary Samsung Galaxy S8 camera.

Samsung Galaxy S8 Primary Camera

The primary Samsung Galaxy S8 camera quality will of course be far superior than the camera found on the front of the device. Whilst we don’t have a 100% confirmation, we’re thinking that a 30 megapixel camera could be a possibility for the Galaxy S8. The Samsung Galaxy S7 featured a 25 megapixel camera and at the time this was the limit of the hardware inside of the S8.

If we do see a jump in megapixels, 30 megapixels could be a nice round number to base our estimates on. Anything higher than 30 megapixels is unlikely, but not impossible, especially considering that the Lumia PureView had a 38 megapixel camera.It did include a 41 megapixel sensor, but hardware limititions effectively made it produce 38 megapixel images.

Samsung Galaxy S8 Front-Facing Camera

What about the front facing camera quality of the S8? We’re hoping to see some pretty decent specs on the front facing snapper on the S8. Although secondary cameras are always a long way behind primary cameras on smartphones, they are still getting exceptionally better year on year. We think it could be possible to see a 9 megapixel camera on the Galaxy S8 but we can’t know for sure just yet.

Hopefully we will have more information about the Samsung Galaxy S8 primary and secondary camera very soon – Samsung is bound to release some information leading up to the smartphone release, whether it’s through official press releases or unofficial leaks. So far, we’re hearing the camera quality on both cameras is significantly improved which is something we wouldn’t expect anything different with.
