Samsung Galaxy S7 Rumors on a Curved, Flexible Screen

August 10, 2015 | Richard Dunn

Samsung will have a hard time topping the innovations seen in both the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge, but according to new rumors the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S7 will do just that. It looks like Sammy will be moving away from the same old same old outer body that we’ve come to expect as both the 2016 launch of the S7 and S7 Edge will sport a truly innovative display.

We’ve been hearing new Samsung Galaxy S7 rumors on a flexible and curved display. Sammy has already publicly stated that a foldable smartphone is in the works, and many analysts believe we’ll see the first foldable Samsung smartphone sometime in the coming year, but most believe it will only be featured in a new model only. We’ve already heard the patent has been filed for a foldable concept, but fitting the new technology into its top flagship just doesn’t make sense.

New rumors are also suggesting Samsung is looking to start mass-production of both the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge quite a bit early. This would significantly change things up as Sammy has been pretty consistent with their annual release schedule.

We’ve been hearing reports that both will go into production 2-3 months ahead of schedule which could set up a worldwide release January or February of 2016. Some analysts are even forecasting a pre-holiday December release, although we believe this is highly unlikely.

The Galaxy S7 release date rumors are only some of what we’re hearing as it seems we’ll see the brand new Qualcomm chipset which will debut later this year. The future of smartphone processors seems to be the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor which will be seen in many upcoming smartphone in 2016 including both the S7 and S7 Edge.
