February 22, 2016 | Amit Arora

If you were looking for something significantly different when comparing the specifications of the Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge to the GS6 and GS6 Edge, you’ll be pleasantly surprised. At first sight, last year’s and this year’s version are strikingly similar, but when looking at the specs you’ll see something entirely different. Everything underneath the sexy, sleek uni-body of the 2016 launch of two of Samsung’s flagships will prove to be technologically different than any previous model we’ve seen.

Below is a side by side comparison of the new lineup of specifications and features for both the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge which will become a reality at a retailer near you on March 11th.

Side by side, both versions of the GS7 look similar with the defining differences being the size of the display. With the GS7 Edge coming in 4 inches larger, and of course sporting the Edge screen controls there isn’t much difference when looking at what’s underneath the display.

When looking at one or the other, making the perfect choice will be left up to personal preference. The Edge concept has taken off since debuting just over a year ago, and since migrating to the Galaxy S concept it has revitalized the series itself. There’s no denying both the Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge will be two of the most popular 2016 smartphones, and launching around the time as the LG G5 will prove its biggest competition.
