December 6, 2015 | Amit Arora

Speaker quality of any smartphone may ultimately end up making or breaking the overall quality of any new handset. With the upcoming Galaxy S8 already being rumored, considering the quality of the new speakers is something to consider. With much of what we’re already hearing painting a pretty good picture, it’s easy to see why expectations are already do high.

In this next article we shall be discussing the Samsung Galaxy S8 speakers and suggesting what could come from a quality test for them. Speakers on a smartphone play a big role in different tasks and they are often left without much attention despite their importance. Below, we take a closer look at the three most functional aspects of the Galaxy S8 speakers including the quality of phone calls, quality of music and media, and the overall volume.

Galaxy S8 Speaker Quality for Calls

The first use for a speaker on any phone would of course be for listening to contacts whilst in a phone call. If we go by Samsung’s previous standards, we’d suggest that the Samsung Galaxy S8 speakers could give users a great listening experience for calls. We’d hope the same can be said for those on the other end of a Galaxy S8, but the speakers should result in a crystal clear conversation.

Galaxy S8 Speaker Quality for Music & Media

It’s not just about call quality anymore. If the Samsung Galaxy S8 speakers are going to be good then they need to be good for music and media too. Smartphones are now huge media devices that are used daily. When it comes to media, the sound quality for the Samsung Galaxy S8 should be sufficient enough for most TV, talk shows, commentaries or YouTube videos.

When it comes to listening to big action films or other content with a large sound range, you may be missing out if you don’t listen through your headphones. There is likely to still only be one speaker on the Samsung Galaxy S8 and it will be facing away from the smartphone owner.

Music quality on the Galaxy S8 speakers will be sufficient for some tracks but you’ll never get the full range of sounds that you could pick up on a decent stereo system or pair of headphones.

Galaxy S8 Speaker Volume

The speaker volume on the GS8 will most definitely be louder than previous smartphones by Samsung. For most usage this will be perfect and you could definitely get away with using the smartphone for audio whilst completing tasks like cooking or tidying. With that being said, it could be nice to have front facing speakers to get a better sound when viewing content on the Galaxy S8.
